| "One time I was walking in the park by the lake. I was listening to this song called Upward Over the Mountain by Iron and Wine, and I had on these huge headphones. They were the type of headphones that block out every noise, so it's kind of like surround sound music bouncing off itself in your head. And it sort of felt like I was in a movie, so I imagined I was. Over to my right were two kids playing in the dust, drawing pictures and smiling so genuinely. To my left a couple was kissing on the bench. Usually that sort of thing really bothers me, but today it was just in the movie. And I was in the movie. And everything was, and it all moved in it's own time to the beat of my song and ahead of me the path was straight so I just walked. And even when Upward Over the Mountain ended, I was still in a movie, because that's what those kinds of headphones can do." |
